It's that time of year where anything is possible! I love this time of year! Health, success, wholeness - all are within reach. With just a few small changes that become habits, that become a lifestyle, that become who you are. Why not make 2016 the year that you choose to make tea a part of your daily routine? It won't take long for you to feel not only the health benefits of drinking tea, but also the emotional benefits of taking time to slow down and enjoy the process of preparing tea along with the relational benefits of inviting others into your tea time. Tea has its magical way of making us rest, be comforted, and resisting life "on the go." The leaves are just one aspect of tea's healing powers.
One of the things we hear most from customers is that they want to make tea, but are a little overwhelmed by it all. I completely understand this since I married into this whole tea thing and had to learn it after being an ardent, devoted coffee drinker. "Do I need a tea ball? Ugh, I hope not because I don't like tea balls." That's what I was thinking when I was introduced to the Sims family and making loose tea. I must have watched Bob or Jonathan make 20, if not 50, pots of tea for others before getting brave enough to commit to buying my own infuser basket. I don't know what I was so afraid of. It's a fine mesh basket that you simply drop the leaves into, pour water over, steep for a handful of minutes, pull out of the pot or cup, and toss in the dishwasher when you are finished. Couldn't be simpler! Investing in that little $10 item was a turning point for me. Loose tea became easy and doable - even as simple as making my daily pot of coffee. I began to enjoy the process, and of course, now it is second nature. In fact, it's that time of year where it is not uncommon to have four or more teapots in the dishwasher over the course of a day!
We don't sell things we wouldn't use, so you can trust any of our product choices. The infuser we use day in and day out and wholeheartedly recommend is the Finum Infuser. We also love the stainless For Life Infusers which come in fun colors and has a lid that doubles as a drip tray. These other Stainless Steel Infusers are great and people are trying to avoid any type of plastic often choose these.
We believe you will be so glad you made the leap and decided to invest in an infuser basket, and that you will begin to enjoy your tea ritual so much that you will never look back to a tea ball or a coffee pot (do they still make those?) again. As always, please feel free to ask questions or tell us your own tea story!
