Oriental Beauty Oolong

$10.00

Incredible oolong tea originally named "Bai Hao" or "white tip" that Queen Elizabeth II named "Oriental Beauty" after tasting it for the first time. The smaller leaves of this Bai Hao oolong make an intensely sweet, floral, and smooth infusion thought to be produced due a cicada-like insect that attacks the tea bushes. In reaction to the attack, the tea leaves produce a special chemical reaction with this intense sweetness. If you are a tea connoiseur, you need to taste this. This particular lot comes from Vietnam rather than Formosa or Taiwan.

Steep one heaping teaspoon of loose tea per 6-8 oz. of water just below boiling, 195°F for 4 minutes.

Loose leaf tea comes packaged in a foil-lined, opaque pouch that has a resealable zip-lock to maintain freshness.
