Hao Ya A Black Tea
From the tiniest sip to the whole mug, I savor this tea. I can taste and smell a very slight yet distinct smokiness in this tea. Mos teas I drink lend themselves to being morning teas or afternoon teatime teas. Hao Ya A is delightful at any time. Right now I'm having a large mug of it at 4 p.m.
What more can I say.
I'm drinking a cup as I write this. I don't always like unsweetened black teas. This one is delicious. It leaves a lovely aftertaste that makes me smile. Kinda smoky/woody, with a touch of sweetness.
I got this tea over a year ago and just now getting around to drinking it. I love Keemun teas and am constantly striving to find the best varietal that has what I consider to be the unique aroma and flavor profile of an excellent Keemun. I consider myself to be a bit of a connoisseur of Keemuns and have tried dozens and dozens from many tea sources. Most don't measure up but this one has the aroma in the dried leaf and after steeping 3 minutes has an excellent flavor. I look for the oaky, piney, hint of smokey, flavoring. This has it! It may seem a tad pricey but not for a Hao Ya A. Assuming they have kept up their quality and consistency of their source to keep getting the same results each year, this is a great one to buy!
